Occasionally we have show puppies available to approved show homes but as a rule we prefer to place what we do not keep in family homes where they will live out their lives as beloved companions.  We sell our companion puppies on Canadian Kennel Club non-breeding registration, with a separate legally binding spay/neuter contract. We ask all prospective purchasers to complete the appropriate questionnaire as this helps us to place the right dog with the right family. 

Skyehaven  puppies are raised as part of the family. We do our best to expose them early and often to as many different sources of stimuli as possible, in order to ensure they leave here with good temperaments and attitudes.    In appropriate weather, they are also introduced gently to the outdoors via our large rear deck. Here the seasonal noises of lawnmowers, chain saws, tractors, birds and of course, the barking of the other dogs, help to start them out on a positive note.

Once the puppies are old enough, they also are allowed supervised interaction with the adult dogs by visiting our fenced kennel runs which are visible from both our bedroom and back deck.

As the future lives of our puppies is of paramount importance to us, we work very hard to select the right homes through a careful screening process. We therefore reserve the right to refuse the sale of any of our dogs to a home which does not meet our requirements and standards.  We hope you enjoy your visit with the Sparling family and the Skyehaven  dogs - come back often!
